What Does a Child Developmental Specialist Do?

According to the Regulation on Job and Job Descriptions of Healthcare Professionals and Other Healthcare Professionals, published in the Official Journal dated 22.05.2014 and numbered 29007, Child Development Specialist,

a) Prepares and implements development support programs for the needs of the child by evaluating the mental, language, motor, self-care, social and emotional development of children at risk with typical/atypical development, acute and chronic diseases.

b) Takes part in the preparation of an environment suitable for the adaptation and development of the child in health institutions.

c) Takes part in risky infant and child follow-ups under the supervision of the relevant specialist and carries out activities supporting development.

d) Plans and makes the design of materials related to child development.

e) Provides consultancy services to families for the development of the child.
